You create contact groups in a supported contact application on your computer, then sync those groups to your phone. You cannot create groups directly on the phone.
Easier : use free application easy group :
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/easy-group/id461469079?l=fr&ls=1&mt=8
Create your groups with easy group, and then you can view your contacts classified by groups in default contact application. Additionnaly you can send group text or group emails in one tap.
I tried easy group but there seems to have a bug in it.
Any other application to do this?
I'm finding it very fiddly and time-consuming dragging names from the all contacts into groups. I hoped I could import groups into group column directly. Once you get below the first page it goes back to top after every one, and you have to remember which was just done. It's driving me crazy!
This is on top of having to cut all but name phone and email as addresses do not transfer properly from excel csv.
You do know that you can select and drag more than one contact at a time, right?
Experiencing the same aggravation assigning contacts to groups. Even when multiple contacts are selected to drag and drop together it is frustrating when the contacts listing resets to the top every time. This makes it difficult to return to the point in the contacts list from which your last assigned contacts were selected.
Does anyone know how to determine which groups, if any, a particular contact has been assigned. Also how to get a listing of all contacts which have NOT been assigned to any group. It is needed to pick out which recent contacts in a long listing have not been assigned to a group. Can anyone help with this problem.
Thanks you aTony Z...I was pulling my hair out on this.
