I want to change my new brand iPhone 4GS CDMA because it is not compatible with my local network (GSM/HSDPA)

If you have had it less than 30 days I believe you can return it, then buy the one you need.

Note that you have to return the iPhone to the US. You will not be able to return/exchange it in another country.

All iPhone 4S phones have both CDMA and GSM. As long as the phone is unlocked, it should work on a GSM network.
If the phone does not have a SIM slot, it is a CDMA iPhone 4. Return it to where you got it for a refund.
Can I change my new brand iPhone 4GS Verizon (CDMA) for another compatible with HSDPA / GSM (note: it should have a SIMCARD slot) at an Apple Store?
