working with nas (drobo). all my photos are stored in one place and referenced in iphoto - works perfectly. aperture will import files for preview, but cannot find masters - even if you reconnect. file path has duplicated bits! suggestions?

Ps should have said, the drive is properly mounted (i think!) and shows as being online, is fine for all other mac files, and aperture can see files there when you use the import function. it seems to be the fact that the files are not put onto my macbook which is the issue? iphoto didnt have the problem, and you cant import from iphoto to ap 3 - it brings over the structure, but no thumbnails and no referenced masters.
NAS connection issues! can you help??? :-)
