No, there is no way to do this at the moment.
Dough... I recently had opposite problem: I changed my account country and all my purchases was deleted. So your solution would be change account country, then change back if you want.
Lawrence Finch, Apple is not a credit card issuer, not a bank and not a doctor. Also, freely downloaded apps from the App Store are not credit cards, invoices or medical records.
Don't compare bananas with fish. They are not the same.
I guess it must have made your day to respond to a post made over 2 years ago. I'm happy that such simple things satisfy you.
Classic - love it!
tthat's not a solution for me I want to permanently delete unwanted apps. Apple ought to be ashamed of their unbridled cockiness. I pay good money for my devices and If I don't want an app on it I should not be forced to keep it. No more apple products for me or my family
So what product are you going to get? An Android? They're good phones, but you can't delete the purchase history from the Google Play Store either. Microsoft phone? They're pretty good also, and you won't have a problem deleting purchased history, because there isn't anything to purchase. I guess you could go to a dumb flip phone.
I agree with Latch
I'm sure Latch is gratified that you agree with something posted 5 years ago.
You can delete using iTunes. Please navigate through below path and you cannot delete all at once. You should delete it one by one.
Go to iTunes => Apps => App Store => Purchased.
That does not delete the apps, it only hides them. Also, you are responding to a five year old post....

Geez... after years people still not getting the question! The post is "HOW TO DELETE" not "HOW TO HIDE" what the problem with understand that?
I don't want to HIDE!!! I want to D.E.L.E.T.E it!!!
Quick explanation: if you hide it, the download history will keep showing at the apple store when you search for the same app you just hidden. If you DELETE it, when you search for this app, it will be shown as you'e downloading it for the first time. GET IT?
I still have no answer how to DELETE the download history.
We get the question. You do not get the answer.
You cannot delete your download history. Period. There is no way to delete your download history. You can't do it. How many more ways of saying "NO" will it take to get the message across to you?
Have you noticed that you can't delete the purchase history from your credit card accounts? You can't delete transactions from your bank account statements and the bank's stored records? You can't delete your tax records? You can't delete the information stored by the major credit bureaus. You can't delete your call records ("metadata") from your phone company's records, and, in fact, your government has them all. You can't delete any interactions you have with law enforcement. You can't delete the records of where your car has been based on automated licence tag scans.
Your download history should be the least of your worries.
And what do you mean by "the download history will keep showing at the Apple Store when you search for the same app"? Exactly where are you stating that you still see it? Because you should not be able to see it anywhere. In order to unhide a hidden app, you have to specifically go to your Apple ID in iTunes and click on "Hidden Purchases", and then select the specific item you want to unhide.
So, where else are you seeing it?
