Jun 8, 2011 8:45 PM in response to Andrew2000Deluxeby kup1986,Use more than just the iTunes link. iPod Touch/iPad/iPhone feedback needs to be posted as well. Make your voice be heard for all 4, not just iTunes.

Let me know what you think. I was thinking, if you can delete a phone record, then why can't you delete an app in the purchase history. The phone company would have my call history, but I can still delete a call on my phone. Apple will have my app purchase history, so the same should apply, surely?

Jun 15, 2011 1:06 PM in response to JRDLockby Paurian,Just adding a "Hide" button under each app and a "Show Hidden" button at the top of the page should clear this up. I agree with JRDLock. Permanently deleting them and hiding them are essentially the same in regards to what most people on this board are requesting.
Let me add that I'd also prefer a paging system that shows the list 200 apps at a time, just like the Update page does... 10000+ apps take FOR.EV.ER. to load, causing iTunes to screech to a halt.

Jun 25, 2011 2:58 PM in response to Demoby james taylor 8185,Privacy is a huge issue. Many of us have family accounts, now all apps previously purchased will be visible. Apple can feel free to keep records in their data base, if it's tied to accounting. My concern is what shows up on my accounts via the iPhone and iPads. I am sure there will eventually be fall out for the option not being included in the apps development.

Not even close and I know the dig is directed toward me. The purchase of an app is a legal sales record - the phone call is not the record of a sale. You can't be that dumb to think you are comparing apples to apples - no pun intended.
I don't own an iPhone - never did. But every cell phone I ever owned would let me delete the call history. That is a privacy issue - not a sales record. Why Apple never implemented that on the iPhone from the get go is beyond me.

Jun 25, 2011 4:54 PM in response to Demoby james taylor 8185,Isn't this an open forum for discussion about issues and concerns. Name calling is laughable. My coments are always directed to ideas and open thinking, not any person. Legal sales records should stay with the company unless requested by the purchaser....

Jul 7, 2011 9:11 AM in response to slaforby Tj422,I totally agree! I found out that one of my kids was downloading some naughty apps. They were the free versions and I never saw an itunes invoice on them... We had a talk about inappropriate apps and web content. But, I can still see the "purchases" that were made even on my younger child's ipod touch... Parental controls block the ability to download them, but it doesn't stop the child from seeing what was purchased. UGH!
So, I sent some feed back requesting the ability to permanently delete or hide these apps. (BTW, Barnes and Noble allow you to easily do this for you book purchases). It doesn't seem like it would be that difficult of an option/feature to add to your account! Come on Apple! Get back to being family/user friendly!
Barring that, another person suggested signing out of the account on the device. It was simple to do! After syncing my youngest child's ipod. I went to settings, store and signed out of the account. Now, the purchased list doesn't appear. But, all the apps work like normal! I guess for the moment... this is the best solution to protecting younger kids from inappropriate app purchases!
Then again, if they know your user name and password, they can still re-sign back in.... So, for now, I am changing the password and no one else will be able to download anything! Loss of privilege was a a good idea in this situation anyway.

Jul 13, 2011 6:13 PM in response to Demoby LynneSin,I have to say that's absolutely BULL and here's why.
First I found it very annoying to see my entire purchase history list because many of those purchases were free apps I tried and did not like or those 'download for more in-game points in another game' apps.
I'm not embarassed over anything I downloaded but now, when trying to update my new Iphone 4, I have this cluttered list and it's a pain to find the apps I want, the apps I downloaded and the apps that sucked.
The thing is this - the person that created the Purchase History in iphone 4 was nothing more than a lazy programmer. And now what could be a very useful feature is nothing more than annoying and even for some embarassing.
Two simple things could make this turn around the Purchase History tool and make it a powerful feature.
- In the Settings put a 'HIDE-ALL'/'VIEW-ALL' switch feature. If people don't want it at all just hide it. That does not mess with the accounting information. Just because I turn my light switch off doesn't mean the lamp suddenly disappear into thin air
- For people who want to customize it simply create a 'swipe to delete' feature that doesn't necessarily delete the app from the list but hides it. I don't care where those unwanted purchases go just make them go away.
