Jun 7, 2011 8:41 AM in response to AverageComputerGuyby varjak paw,If you are an authorized member of Apple's developer program, you have forums and resources through which you can address issues with seed versions of Apple's software. Posting here or in any public forum is a violation of your NDA with Apple. If you are not an authorized developer, then you have an illegal copy of the software.
Either way, we cannot help you with questions about unreleased Apple software in these forums.
Regards.

Oct 13, 2011 3:57 AM in response to AverageComputerGuyby Anna Sandham,Not sure if this is the problem, but I've found that a lot of my account settings were trying to sign in with my 'user name', but Apple seemed to have changed the username thing so you need a full email address (i.e. the username plus teh @provider.com bit).
Signing in again using my full address seemed to appease it.

1. Go to the Settings App.
2. Tap on Wi-Fi
3. Your chosen network will be ticked. Tap on its white arrow over a blue circle button to its right
4. Tap on DNS
5. Replace the current information with 8.8.8.8,8.8.4.4
6. Try visiting a website with Safari to see if this works
7. Try registering iMessage / FaceTime
I've been so frustated with this problem also. I found this solution and it finally worked for me

Oct 13, 2011 4:38 AM in response to AverageComputerGuyby agree519,I get the iMessage Activation error, too. Tried changing the DNS as recommended and it didnt help either.
Maybe it's an iPod Touch bug? I hope not, this was the one part of the iOS 5 that I was looking forward to.
