did you jailbreak? Jailbreak is no working here

did you try and change the DNS server to 8.8.8.8

I've tried all of this on my daughter's ipod touch and it's still doing the same thing.  Very frustrating as it worked 2 days ago with no problems and then all the sudden this..... thoughts? suggestions?

The Date and Time thing was the answer! Although it appeared alright, when I checked...It was not. "fdm1979" was correct. Make sure your Time & Date are set to Automatic. Neither iMessage or Facetime were working! It was on the wife's iPhone and I'm assuming this all happened after she did an update!

Great tip!!  Kid's iMessage stopped working - tried everything.  Saw reference to time & date settings - remembered a conversation between kids where they were fiddling with time settings to cheat in a game....ta da!!!
