So I was working on a song for hours and when I finished, I zoomed out and noticed that I had deleted the majority of the song on one of the tracks. Please tell me that these are saved somewhere. And if they are, where are they?

If you go to your garageband-file, you can right click it and choose 'Show package contents'. Then you should get the tracks of your song as you've recorded them.
please stop spreading mis-information. once the file is saved, the files are gone

as long as you didn't delete the entire region, just drag the bottom left, or right edge to bring back the rest. if you did delete the entire recorded region them once you saved, it was gone.
Almost every MODERN APPLICATION (Word, Photoshop, Ableton, etc...) today has autosave. In fact, I can't think of ANY audio application that doesn't have autosave. Of course, that's too much to expect from Garageband. You need to purchase Logic if you want more power.

as does the MODERN version of GB (you are replying to comments from nearly 6 years ago).
this will protect you in the event of a crash (you are offered the opportunity to open either your last save, or the auto-saved version), however, once you save the project, you have decided to commit to that version.
what might be nice is a "versioning" feature.

I accidentally deleted some of what I recorded and then saved. Are any of those files saved somewhere?
