Jun 7, 2011 12:06 PM in response to walkerwrby Wm._Marc Salsberry,I'd like to add an 'Amen Brother' to your question as well. Not that I have anything embarrassing, but I have some Apps that I got rid of and now they seem to be following me no matter how many times I've deleted them and I'd like to get rid of them once and for all.
Thanx.
wms out.

Jun 8, 2011 1:33 PM in response to walkerwrby TonyFromSalem,I'm with you as well...I've been "gifted" many songs and apps that I just plain didn't like after trying them. I deleted them because I never wanted to see them again. And I definitely would not want them to always be "Auto Downloading" and take up any space on any of my Macs, iPhones, iPods, or iPod Touches. I'd much rather not even see them in my iCloud.
However, this will be interesting (and I'm sure a lil' more complicated than we all think). i.e. What kind of safety steps will Apple have to implement to only delete part of you purchase or gifting history in the iCloud? Seems perhaps adding a "hiding" feature w/password would be easiest for them, so they don't end up with tons of calls or complaints the other way, too..from people that have accidentally deleted songs and Apps they really meant to keep.
But in any event, I'd still vote to be able to delete or hide, unwanted purchases or gifted songs and apps from iCloud.

Jun 8, 2011 4:57 PM in response to walkerwrby daxson,Seriously, this is a major flaw. I hate it when bad ideas are thrust upon me. Please, somebody, fix this. It's just messy without a delete permanently option.

Jun 9, 2011 1:49 PM in response to walkerwrby DaveL82,I agree with this MAJOR issue too. May be a bad enough flaw for me to move away from Apple.

Jun 10, 2011 2:51 PM in response to walkerwrby insaneheretic,Yeah this stinks!! I have an eharmony app I don't want a new partner to see but it's in my purchase history. Will that be there for years to come? I REALLY REALLY don't like this. I'm happy to take the responsibility of living with any accidental removals, but preventing me from chosen editing of my purchase history is odd. I deleted the app a long time ago, many new syncs etc, now, like a ghost from the past it has appeared in the purchase history. If I delete an app I don't want it anymore. It's like my refuse always being stored for me, I threw that pizza out goddamit!! Stop reminding me!

Jun 11, 2011 8:46 PM in response to walkerwrby dwarniment,I also think this is stupid to not be able to permanently delete an app. We have all downloaded an app that is completely useless or just terrible that we would like to forget about. I don't want to be stuck with the trash from several years ago--I didn't want it then, why would I want it now? Just a horrible way to gum up the works and make things more complicated.

Jun 15, 2011 7:45 PM in response to walkerwrby mozark13,I don't know if this will do it but it's worth a shot. Sign into Itunes and go to account preference and then manage devices you will see iphone associated with icloud. form there you can remove the device. good luck

Jun 18, 2011 5:23 AM in response to walkerwrby Alex Eathan,I ain't getting this until this is fixed. I don't want to be stripped out fully with all the ancient purchases that I made ever since the iPhone is released. That really *****. Apple to better fix this as many of the current iPhone users aren't going to e happy with this at all. I don't want to remove my device. I have my whole family using iPhones iPods and the iPad which is with one iTunes account and deleting the device doesn't help. I just want to be the administrator of what I want in which device.
I am a hard core fan of apple have all their products and in fact switched my entire office users to Mac. I didn't expect from apple who always comes out with the smartest product in the industry. Apple better get this fixed before the final release, before it hurts lot of your followers.

Jun 18, 2011 12:25 PM in response to Alex Eathanby mozark13,I doesn't delete device per say. It deletes the icloud account(I say account because I no longer see the icloud under mange devices). Even after deleting icloud from my account and then syncing iphone I can see iphone still contains the information of a apps downloaded from day one with icloud download button to the right of them

Jun 22, 2011 3:26 AM in response to walkerwrby coxspippin,May I suggest that all respond to apple via their Feedback option.
I have done so as I regard the unrestricted publication of personal information (irrespective of its sensitivity) as a gross lack of personal information governance and have requested that Apple resolve this by either:
1. Only provide the unedited list after entering the individual Apple ID and Password on the device - per session
2. Provide an edit facility in iTunes to completely remove or delete unwanted items
The more people that pose feedback, the more likely it is that notice will be taken.
