Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
On my iPhone under "Store" I am attempting to turn on Auto Downloads for Apps (I'm in the UK, so no Music Downloads yet). When I move the slider from Off to On, it will stay there for a few seconds and then ping back to Off. I don't have this problem on my iPad, and I use the same iTunes account across both devices. Anyone else seen? Bug? Workaround?
iPhone 4, iOS 4.3.2
Initially, I was having this problem as well...the sliders on my iPhone would stay in the "On" position, but would keep toggling back to "Off" on my iTouch. Both are running OS 4.3.3. Signing out and back in on my iTouch fixed this problem. Thanks for the suggestion clarkeycats! I had tried everything short of resetting my device before trying that.

I am not having the slider problem but I did notics I don't have the mucis icon on my phone or ipad. Is the service not available for Ireland as well as UK.
Unfortunately, the music option is only available in the US at the moment.
Why is the Music Option not available in UK & Ireland, will it come when the roll out of iOS 5 is released.
Not sure yet, there hasn't been any word I don't think. I guess we will have to wait until sept when it's released.

i have an iPhone 3GS, 2 iPhone 4, 1 iPad1 3G, and 2 iPad1 wifi connected to a single apple ID. i was able to set the automatic download for apps on all the idevices except for 1 miserable iPad1 wifi. I had tried signing in into another apple ID, signing off signing back in again. restart the ipad. nothing seems to work, the toggle just doesnt stay on.
Please help me!
This is happeningn to me as well in the U.S. Let me know if you figure it out and I'l do the same. Will try logging out and back in again.

@clarkeycats thanks for the tip. Worked like a charm. Would be great if it actually prompted for a login if that is what it needed. My guess is that the login had already timed out from earlier usage. Regardless this definitely fixed the problem.
This appears to be related to the same issue afflicting FaceTime logins on iPad. You must go to wifi settings>advanced and put 8.8.8.8 in the DNS section. Not only does this enable FaceTime login it allows automatic selection. Click auto "on". It may reset to "off". Click again and it should stick on
