I have switched from a PC, but always used Word. I have always organized my documents in folders, often just drag and drop. Can you tell me how to move Word Files into Word Folders by dragging and dropping?

Drag and drop on Mac works pretty much the same way. Click and hold on a file, move it to the location/folder you want it, and release the click.
Thanks, TJK, but I tried that. Many times. I click and hold on the file, move it to the folder, let it hover right over the folder, release the click, and the file bounces right back to its original location. What am I doing wrong?
Hmmm. Are these files or folders locked? Are you using any kind of third party security? Are you in a guest account? Do you have at least 15% free space on your HD? Have you changed permissions? Have you run Repair Permissions?
Where are you trying to drag from and to? Post some screen shots if that helps you clarify. Press command-shift-4 and drag a rectangle around the area on the screen that you want to capture. Then click the camera icon in a reply here and select the screen shot file on your desktop to insert in your message.
