How can I upgrade my iMac from OS X v.10.5.8 to OS X v.10.7.x(Lion) using Apple AppStore?
I'm in Asia, can I download the "English Version" OS X(Lion)?

Now the Lion is final. Does anyone know how to make the "downloaded from App Store Lion" to a ".dmg bootable Lion DVD?
I'm new to Mac, and is feeling so confused about installing OS Lion.

Does anybody know if there is any truth in the posts (in Apple Apps) that Microsoft for MAC (Entourage, Word, Powerpoint and Excel) won't work with OS Lion? Will all my existing files on my MacBook Air be lost, or will they just be "transfered" in the upgrade? (Sorry for the "silly" quesiton - but I'm rather new to the "mac world").
Most of what I have read or heard is that the only edition of MS Office that is working with Lion currently is MS 2011. If you need something to use until you Microsoft upgrades catches up etc. You can use Open Office, if you search on Google you should be able to find Open Office you can download it and use it just as you would MS Office.
All files, settings etc. will remaining where they are before. But as always it is recommended to have an Backup (eg. with Time Machine).
Reg. your question of Office for Mac: I'm using the older Version Office 2008 for Mac and this is running well with Lion.
Hopefully a quick question: Since Tiger I've purchasing Family Pack versions of Mac OSX sw. I don't see that as an option anymore. The only thing on the site that's relatively close in topic is the volume licensing process but that seems like that's for business customers w/ 20 or more Macs. I assume then that I have to pay $29 for each Mac I intend on upgrading (4 in count)? Everyone is on Snow Leopard now. Thoughts/clarification?

That applies only to the (obsolete) Office 2004 and Office X.
My understanding is that the $29 download will be sufficient/useable as family pack, not just individual license
Sorry if my questions seems odd...
I am trying to download OS X Lion from iTunes Store. But I dont see any option for such applications. I only have HOME - App Store - Podcasts - iTunes U and below that iPhone - iPad.
Selecting any of them only lists items related to iPhone and iPad.
Am I missing something here?

You would think since the app store was available with snow leopard that they would have made it available for "download" on the app store. Probably because the snow leopard wasn't a APP bundle. I swear when apple first announced the availability date of Lion the price was $79 .
