Mac Mail and Bell Mail (Sympatico)
How do I set up Sympatico in Mac Mail? I have contacted Bell Internet Support and they could not help me.

LIne ( in the instructions now says "Create" and at this point Mail attempts to log in and check the pop settings. The following message is received:
"The .Live POP server pophm.sympatico.ca is not responding. Try checking the network connection, and that the server name is correct. .........
I cannot get past this point.
Launch the Network Utility application, select the Ping tab, enter "pophm.sympatico.ca" (without the quotes) in the text box, select the button to send 10 pings, and click the Ping button. What is the output?

I tried setting up an account with fake credentials, and I got the correct response: the login was rejected. So your Mail application seems to behave differently than mine. Please enable guest logins, log in as Guest (no password needed) and try to set up the account there.

If the same thing happens, then boot in safe mode, log in as usual, and try again.
