Can't hear caller unless on speakers?
When I receive a call I can't hear the caller unless I use the speaker feature...
No privacy...

Just get your phone? Still have the protective covering on the screen? If so, remove it.
It could be because your headphone jack is jammed up.
There's a small sensor in the headphone jack that tells the iPhone if there are headphones plugged in. Sometimes this little sensor gets "stuck".
The Apple Store recommended that I put my headphones back into the jack, and then remove it... and to repeat this process a few times to see if you can 'unjam' the sensor.
Happened to me twice, and it's worked... twice.
Good luck!
Have you tried turning the volume up? Basic, i know.
I have replied earlier through another thread about this problem as it happened to me. At the time, I had removed the last app uploaded to my phone (Magic Jack) which I thought was related because Magic Jack is a phone calling app. Anyway, after removing Magic Jack, my problem was solved... But only for a few days. The problem came back.So at this point, I can't predict when my phone will be working fine. One day it works, the other it doesn't. I have yet to try the duster solution suggested here, but tomorrow, I am going to the Genius Bar I'm sure theocrats about this problem before... More tomorrow...
check on the side of the phone by the volume control. there is another button above it. If it shows orange, then switch it back. My grandkids did this to me while checking the phone out.
