I have a client that has an iphone 4 and an Ipad2.  He has hundreds of Outlook subfolders.  He wants to be able to 'hide' subfolders on his devices, or at least 'back up the tree' a level or two so he can still expand folders as needed.

I can't find a solution. Both devices are current on firmware.  Ideas?  Thanks in advance.

You really can not manage folders in email on an iPhone or iPad.  Folder management needs to happen in the actual mail system.......

That is what I've seen so far during my searches.  It would be great to 'uncheck' some folders (like WM6 used to give you the power to do).

In order for this client to scroll down to his 'trash' for instance, he needs to scroll thru hundreds of sub-folders.  I can see why he is frustrated.  Seems like an easier integration (because I'm not the apple engineer probably) to implement.

It may be something simple, but it isn't a current option.  I have hundreds of subfolders as well.  I just don't swipe down to the trash folder very often.
