I have just found out about the folders option and am now trying to place all my apps in their respective folders but can't move an app between pages, is it possible and if so, how?

It sure is... just hold the app to the edge of the screen and eventually it will move to a new or previous page.
Hold your finger on icon of any app for few seconds. All icons start shaking, then just drag app that you want to left/right edge of the screen, app wil jump to the next page. Alternatively you can change app's postions in iTunes when connected to your mac or pc.
Once downloaded, can apps be moved onto a different page?
