How to check the the real age of iphone

As long as it is not a refurb you can do it by the serial number the 3rd,4th,5th numbers show year and week of the year. Eg. mine is **927 meaning week 27 in 09. As I said though it doesn't work with refurb serial numbers.

Yep, that is how it works, refurbs seem to have their serial number changed as they will be given to a new user so it is not of use for them. On the 3GS they all seemed to start the first 2 digits with 5K.
