How to attach multiple file in one mail

Hi,

I've problems with sending multiple files via Gmail account (Ipad version) When sending the photo or video, I've to just click the photo and choose send to mail one by one. Any simpler way? Sometimes i did sent both mpg and jpg but the reciepient didn't see any attachment too 😕

Anyone can help advise how to attach different file (doc, video, photo) in one mail will be a lot appreciated. Thank you so much 🙂

Hi, For any of you who have been looking for ways to attach files when replying or forwarding a mail.

There is a new App available - Called "Email Reply".

https://itunes.apple.com/US/app/id780069308?mt=8

It is pretty basic, but it supports POP and IMAP and major email accounts such as Google mail, Yahoo mail, Microsoft Hotmail, iCloud mails etc. For you company accounts, as long as you know your POP and IMAP settings, then it would work for you.

I tried attach several files in a email reply, and it worked just what many of you wished a iPad could do.

Another nice thing is that you could open multiple email accounts at once or open multiple attached files at once in a browser like user interface.

And it supports cloud, Wifi, Open in as well, so you could get files in and out easily. I am a small business owner, it works for me well. I could manage all my email accounts in this App. I have a sense that this App would evolve over time.

Hello Craig Baby. Thanks so much but I don't clearly understand it. Did you mean sent multiple e-mail in one mail?😕

I meant how to attach the file in Google mail via Ipad? I don't see any attach button. I want to attach photo, mpg file and doc file in the same e-mail but I don't know how? Now I've wasting my time go to the location of the file i save in Ipad then just click send to mail one by one...😢 How can I send many attachment files in one e-mail like the ordinary PC?

Anybody can help me fix this out??? Thank you so much

I thought Craig's explanation was spot on. The way you attach files to mail with an iPad is to open the application from which the attachment is visible. For example you would open your word processor then send the mail and attachment (doc file for example) from the word processing application.

You don't open an email app like mail, Google, Thunderbird, etc as you do on a computer then select attachments.

You can attach multiple pictures to an email on an ipad2. Don't know about original iPad.

Choose a photo or take a screen shot (hold down home button and button next to volume control at same time--screen shot now will appear in photos).

Go to photos and edit your picture or screen shot, save it, then hold down on the image and copy it.

Go to mail, create a new mail and paste it in.

Save you mail as a draft.

Go back to photos and select a different photo, copy it, and return to your draft, and paste it in. Repeat if you need to add more.

Anything that you can take a screen shot or have an photo of can be pasted in one at a time into that draft email.

If mail gets uncooperative, during this process, then double click on home button and quit multitasking mail, then open up mail again and send your draft. Uncooperative means gets frozen.

I just downloaded an app from the App Store called Group Email and sent an email with a .docx file and a .PDF file attached. The app accesses my Dropbox account (I don't think you can send an email from Dropbox with anything actually attached; you have to provide access to your doc or folder and the recipient must create their own login at Dropbox before they can actually view your attachments). But there are ways other than Dropbox to get to the docs, photos, videos, etc. that you want to send. It was really easy.

I have used Multi-Photo, also in the App Store, for quite a while to email multiple photos.

I hope one of these provides an acceptable solution.

Ellen

Use Good Reader app. It works without drama. It supports many cloud storage systems, WebDav, FTP transfer, USB transfer (via iTunes).

Create your document/attachments and then upload to DropBox (or wherever). Down load them to Good Reader then use GR's Manage Files tools to send an email. You can attach as many files as you like. You can even send a folder if you zip it first. This app takes away all the pain of being limited with iPad original model.

Hey,

Surprised to know that people don't know the way to do it. Its been pretty easy for me though. I use free app named iZip. Just put your files in izip through emails, dropbox and many otherways using "Open in". Once your files are in iZip, select the files you want to send. Click email. It will ask if you want to zip files or send without compressing. Select without compress. And your email is ready to send. Pretty easy dtuff. Hope this helps. Have fun emailing. :)

Thanks for the work arounds, but I consider adding multiple attachments (of different formats), on an email reply ( not just new), is one of the most basic expected features, which should be available by default in any device that promises easy access to Internet.

I strongly feel this should be included in APple products without asking or requiring extra effort.

It is extremely difficult to trust new Apple IPad mini on the go if alternative solutions for basic functionalities require separate installations.

While I am disappointed, I hope Apple would consider working towards providing such expected features that can make life easier.

mhadi813... Somehow you've overlooked that this is an iOS discussion not MacOS.

Update on my post from a couple of years ago - still using Good Reader, a most versatile app that I think is best regarded as a file manager. You can access files stored on your device or in the cloud.

I directly export files (text/image/audio/video) to Good Reader from any App that supports the "open-in" feature. Apps that don't have this nice function, I can export to Dropbox and import via GR. Then in Good Reader I use "manage files" to select as many files as I'd like and attach them to an email. Can send group emails.

If you use iPad/iPhone as part of your workflow and are producing many documents, it's worthwhile just getting into the habit of exporting all your completed docs and filing them in Good Reader, I find that clearing out anything that doesn't require further editing frees up the working capacity of the App. And what is there not to like about a logical filing system?

On my iPhone and iPad I use the excellent app called "Documents 5 by Readdle" It acts as a file manager and PDF reader, but much more. I can link it to DropBox, I can save all sorts of documents in it and when I need to mail multiple attachments, I just click "Edit" then select/tick the files I want to send and then click on the "Mail to.." menu. All the files are attached in a message ready to be sent. No need to zip anything!

If you want to send multiple files from DropBox. You have to first download them through this app to its own storage area and then from there you can email them.

I highly recommend it. It is very well-designed and well-rated.
