I have a 2nd gen ipod touch and have been trying to update to iOS 4.3, everytime i sync my ipod it says software upto date when it has iOS 4.2.1 and the iOS 4.3 is the latest one. How can i update it to iOS 4.3

A 2G iPod can only go to 4.2.1. Sorry.
I'm sorry, but iOS 4.3 is not available for the 2nd generation ipod touch.

Unfortunately it will not be. iOS 5 will only support the 3rd and 4th generation ipod touches.

Really? So apple is making their own products inept? I have apps now that wont work because they need a newer operating system?
I honestly thought apple worked for their customers....It's sad to see that they're more worthless than the competition. Im never buying another apple product.
well...that *****. so i have to get a new ipod if i want to update? i updated because i couldnt buy half the apps. what about when they all require 4.3 or whatever?
