Hi fellow community members,

I am new to this forum, so please forgive me if I make any mistakes.

As an iPhone 3GS owner, I do understand that my phone isn't the most current hardware when compared to the iPhone 4.

I currently run my iPhone 3GS on 4.3.1, and I am quite hesitant to upgrade it, because of various complaints I see around the web concerning the performance issues, and battery issues of later versions. This is why I am starting to feel that later IOS versions might be only optimized for the new iPhone 4, and probably not as much consideration is being given to the 3GS.

So, I'd like some input. Which IOS version worked the smoothest, overall, best experience for you?

Input from both iPhone 3GS or 4 users are appreciated.

I, like most users, have had no issue with any upgrade.

You will read complaints about each and every update - no exceptions.

Most never have any issues.

The next two updates were minor, with the last one just limiting the data location cache to 7 days. Neither should tax your iPhone. You'll have to wait and see on iOS 5.
