Go into your Console application (it's in the Utilities folder) and on the left hand list is the DATABASE SEARCHES list item. If it's not showing, tick on the 'Show/Hide Log List' button on the left top.

Open that and underneath, there should be two lists, 'All Messages' and 'Console Messages' - poke through each one and look at the time and date stamps and see what is repoprting that message.

Will be in the 'Sender [PID]' column - that IDs the programs reporting.

Until you know what *exactly * that message relates to you don't know how to fix it.

Best way is to reboot and go right into the Console and it should be close to the bottom of the list.

It comes from a Startup (or Login) item. Mine was caused by Yamaha Steinberg device.

If you no longer use this device then:

  • open Users and Groups in System Preferences
  • click on your user
  • click "Login Items" tab
  • unlock padlock at bottom left
  • highlight the Item you don't want
  • click " - " sign
  • restart and should be done

I tried using the "Hide" option but this won't remove the error message.
