My aperture folders are empty saying 0 photos yet the photos are still in the main library?

Can anyone help, I have over 16000 pictures sitting pretty in the main "Photo's" library of aperture, each of these previously belonged to a specific project in aperture 3.1 but no every project file says there are no photos available?

Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhhhh!

Thanks for your reply Kirby.

The Projects state that there are zero photos in them even though the project name is the original name. When the project is selected there are no photos shown.

This has happened because my old mac died and I have put Aperture on a new Mac and directed it to the library on my external drive.

The photos that should be in the projects can be seen in the main photo library all together.

Is there anything else I can add in order to assist?
