I have an iPad and an iPhone utilizing the same iTunes, after updating both of them to iOS 4.3.3, a "purchased" section appears inside "updates" inside both devices, under this section, those apps that I have installed as well as those that I have deleted appears automatically. How could I remove those deleted apps permanently?

The "purchased" list is just that, a list of apps you have purchased.  Why would you want to remove something from the purchase history?

I would like to be able to do this too...

@diesel vdub:  Sometimes an app is "purchased" that you never wanted in the first place so it would be nice to be able to clear that record.

Or a family member buys something they shouldn't and you want to prevent it from being downloaded again.

Hi, i presume you are talking about the APP STORE on a mac. If so, open the app store, go to STORE on the menu bar and click view my account. Enter your apple ID and Password and then go to the bottom where you will see a subsection called settings - along that will be manage user reviews and ratings. Click on Manage, see screen shot.

This is what you will see and then along the apps you dont need or have tested and decided it is not for you, click on the remove button under each tab on the right (in blue). See screen shot below. Once you click this wait 24hours before it is removed.

Hope that is helps you and others, share the love.

Unfortunately, no, that is not a correct assumption.  On the iPhone or iPad itself, under the App Store application Updates > Purchased > Not On This iPhone:

I am hopful that once Apple releases iCloud along with iOS5 this issue will be addressed.  I had a family member get a hold of my phone and install a few inappropriate apps.

    It can be done:

Change the email address on your Apple ID.

Then under Settings, iTunes & App Stores, Apple ID, Create New Apple ID

Create a "new" Apple ID, using the original email address.  You will have to enter all the info again, including billing info.

Log on to the "new" account on your phone and those "Purchases" will be gone.  I am sure they are still with the original account with the changed email address, but that account is not tied to your phone.

A bit tedious, but if you really want it done, it works.
