Over the past couple of days, everytime I start up my Macbook, I've noticed a little box appearing on my menu bar next to the time machine logo. Right now it says 36˚ but this number varies. The image below is a screen shot of what it says when i click on it.
Does anyone know what it is? And why has it only just started appearing these past couple of days? (Since Friday)
Any help is greatly appreciated 🙂

Possibly a fluctuating temperature monitor.
I installed something similar. But have since deleted it as it wanted me to upgrade in order to fully complete the recovery. This is why i'm confused, i no longer have Disk Drill on here yet it's still showing up.
Ok...
Open a Finder window. Select your Home folder in the Sidebar on the left then open the Library folder then the Preferences folder.
Move the com.apple.systemuiserver.plist file to the Trash.
Restart your Mac.
That should reset the status menu bar where you see your TM icon etc.
done that and it's still there. I've re-installed disk drill from the apple site though. can i remove it in there?
If disk drill has a preference pane then open it and see if you can find a check box that makes it so that it can be in the menubar.
Another thing that works sometimes is to press command then click and drag the icon out of the menubar.
