How do I disable Plug-ins?
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.7)
In Safari ?
From the Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Security tab.
Deselect: Enable - plug-ins
Firefox? Firefox / Preferences - General - Manage Add-ons - Plugins
In Safari ?

Yes, in Safari. I Deselected Enable - plug - ins but the alert icon still pops up when I open Safari. What is that about?
Quit safari
Open ~/Library and drag the safari folder out onto the desktop
Open safari and see if safari works
If it works then quit safari and drag a file in then open safari and see if it works etc. Once you find the file that makes safari not work delete it.
