I've had the ipad2 for about a month now and this is the second time it had happened. I charged the ipad for about 3-4 hours (from 20% left) and the battery clearly showed 100% with plug picture. So I figure it's fully charged and unplug it just to find out it's only charged 83%. Anyone experienced this?
Have you gone through a full charge-cycle ? From www.apple.com/batteries/ipad.html :
For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).
Yes I have. Actually I have gone through a full charge cycle a few times...
I guess the only solution at this time is to just let it charge a certain number of hours (at least) instead of judging the competion of full charge by the battery status.
