my ipod wont connect to my secured wifi

I brought the ipod today brand new from the apple store and its fine, apart from when i try to connect to the family wireless, it is a secured wireless on a WPA TKIP security and i click on "other networks" and type in the name of the wireless and click WPA and type in the password correctly but i always say " failed to join"... HELP

So you you set up your network to not broadcast its SSID?

Are you sure that the name antd password are correct?

- Do other devices connect to he network?

Try resetting your iPod:

Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home

button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Power off and then back on your router

- On the iPod reset networksettings: Settings>General>Reset Rest Network Settings.

Ever since my dad put a password on the wireless it has been doing this, it was fine before! im not very good with nice kind of stuff so sorry if i dont make sence!

yes the name and password is correct, i have been trying it for ages 😟

yes my laptop is connected but my mums iphone wont connect

i have reset the ipod and the network settings!

i only brought it today so surely ut should have the latest update?
