Help with Ipod Touch 4g and IBook App Problem.

I just got a new Ipod Touch 4g and got it mainly to read books, play games, and listen to music. I dowloaded the iBook app twice and each time it was still missing the Change the font or type size/ Change the page and type color button on the ibook control panel. My eyesight isn't that great so I really need this feature to read more easily. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Also, is there a way to change the orientation to landscape and lock it there? I try by turning the screen horizontally, but it doesn't always switch the way it should which is quite frustrating when you want to read in horizontal mode.

Lastly, is there a way to get ride of the wallpaper on the home screen? I accidentally press a wallpaper by mistake and now I can't get rid of it to go back to the white on black screen.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

My first suggestion is to try Stanza, as it is a much more configurable ebook reader. You can use the

Calibre (ebook management/conversion utility) to transfer ebooks from your computer to your iPod Touch.

Looking at iBooks on my iPod Touch, my font selection and font size are only present when I have an ebook open. If I tap the center of a page, the top edge of the screen has

Library | Table of Contents | Brightness | aA (font size, and font selection) | Search | Bookmark

Where the aA icon brings up a control that has a small a and a large A. If I tap on the large A, each tap increases the font size until it gets REALLY BIG. Tapping on teh small a reduces the font size for each tap.

Landscape lock. OK for the iPod Touch as a whole, you put the iPod Touch in the orientation you desire, then you quick double-tap on the home button. This will bring up a list of your running apps. Now slide the list to the right, and you will see music controls as well as on the far left a screen lock button. Tap the screen lock button to lock your iPod Touch in its current orientation. Unlock it later when you want your iPod Touch to be able to rotae again.

NOTE: Stanza as an ebook reader, it has its own configuration control that locks Stanza into a specific orientation, independent of the iPod Touch orientation or the iPod Touch orientation lock. Another reason I like Stanza.

Wallpaper. I think you can only change it to something else. Settings -> Wallpaper, then tap on the screen you want to change. Now select a different Wallpaper from either the Wallpaper selections, or anything in your Camera Roll, or your Photo Library.
