Is the 27" iMac display exactly the same as the 27" ACD?

I'm looking at updating my existing set up and want to know whether the above displays are exactly the same. From memory the ACD's were usually of a better quality compared to the iMac displays. Have they achieved parity now? Where will I find full specifications as I can't find them for the iMac - only that they are ips displays, and the resolution and speaker wattage.

Thanks guys.

That's all the information I'm aware of, have you visited an Apple Store to look at both side by side and to ask questions? If you can't for some reason then you will have to call Apple's online store and ask. You can find the phone number in the upper left corner of the home page of the online store for your country. For example in the US that would be:

I have the 27 Cinema at work and the 27 iMac at home, and they seem the same to me - excellent.

If you look at the spec descriptions in the prose (not just the spec listing pages), all specs offered are the same for both displays (27", 2560x1440, IPS, LED, 178 degree angle, 1000:1 contrast). 2 specs for the Cinema (375 cd/m*m, and 12 ms response time) can't be found for the iMac. However, I am wary of relying on a few specs to decide if 2 displays are indeed exactly the same. I'm sure you can get 2 sets of limited specs that match yet look different.
