why does my mac pro freeze on start up ?

Why does my mac pro freeze on start up ? Some times this three or four times before i can get it to start correctly.

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

Have you thought to repair the drives? Clone the system?

look around for peripheral devices and cables?

- Doesn't give us much to go on, not even which model and how configured.

Launch the Console application and select system.log. Post any error messages from the time of the last failed startup. If there are duplicates, please include only one example of each.

Also, try starting up in safe mode and see whether you have the same problem.

Most programs do have help under the Help menu, some a full manual or guide.
