I want to be able to right click on an image in safari and have the context menu let me save it directly to dropbox. i have tried to use automator many times and fail miserably. Any step-by-steps out there?

I believe that things like automator and on-my-command (abracode stuff) are for creating contextual menus as services. My guess is these things are going to have problems when attempting to use them in the context of a browser. That's why safari has extensions, firefox has add-ons, etc.
Not exactly. Automator can depending upon which template you choose create applications, workflows printer plugins or services (contextual items in previous versions of Automator). Part of the process of creating a service is identifying the context you want it to functioning.

Do you need a menu item? You can drag and drop images from Safari. Put the target in the Dock or on the Desktop, and simply drag images into it.
Am using OS 10.7 Lion. The Safari contextual menu has changed and save file as is now missing, so one can no longer save pdf downloads via the contextual menu. Is there a command that can be inserted easily to restore this very helpful functionality?
