Can I save or convert a pages document to .png?

If not, how can I hide the + sign designating the text boxes and do a screen shot?

Thanks.

You can go to File>Print (command p) and then in the bottom left hand corner in the PDF drop down menu select Open in Preview, then in Preview Save and choose .png from the Format drop down.

The + sign means that there is text in the box that does not fit. You can make the box bigger, make the font size smaller or, more then likely, there is just an extra line at the end that isn't showing. So turn on the Invisibles (View Menu>Show Invisibles or command, shift i) and see if there is an extra return to delete.
