And this is supposedly for the HOME user??

I've been a Mac user forever and only just now started delving into using iMovie --thought it would be simple, but I've spent HOURS on here and elsewhere trying to figure things out and why things don't seem to work the way they supposedly should!

For one thing, I'm using my iPhone 4 to shoot my videos --why doesn't iMovie recognize it?? --instead having to rely on iPhoto

Then there is the issue of these stupid thumbnails taking like 5 years to load from iPhoto (since that's the only thing that'll recognize my iPhone) --is this EVERY time I launch iMovie? --because I just spent forever waiting for them to load last night and opening it once again today, they're gone! --and it's wanting to transfer them again!

Also, according to iMovie help, attempting to move/copy events and projects to my external HD SHOULD be just as simple as dragging them to my HD's icon (which does appear) --however, you guessed it, this is also not to be --nothing is "draggible"!

All I wanna be to do is some simple editing and it seems like it takes an Act of Congress to do so!!

Could perhaps any of this have to do with the fact I'm still using just Leopard??
