Mirrored letters

It doesn't reverse anything. Think of the iMac as a camera. When it takes a picture, there is no need to reverse lettering or anything else.

Try this experiment... Stand behind the iMac G5 looking at someone in front of the iMac G5. Is the lettering behind them reversed? No it isn't.

Actually, the imac isight does reverse lettering, Duane.

Jon, the reason for this is that people are more accustomed to seeing themselves in a mirror, so if they see an unflipped image they think they look weird. So the isight gives you a mirror image. (If you think about it, when you watch yourself in a mirror walking into a room from the left, you see yourself coming in from the same side in the mirror, but your face and any writing you hold up to the mirror are reversed.)

EDIT If it bothers you, there's an Auto-flip Photos setting in photobooth.

No problem, Duane. It is kind of weird till you get used to it.

I should have been clearer. I believe it's only the view on your computer that is mirrored. The computer you're connected to sees things un-flipped, I think.

I can't seem to find anything in photo booth to correct the reversal of my pics. I can't find anything in iPhoto either and tried to send a picture of the money order I sent seller for something on ebay and it was reversed, with the printing backwards. How can I correct this in the future? Thanks for any tips
