Quicksilver 733: AHT CD boots to Open Firmware

Not certain if this is the correct place to be posting, but we are having unusual behavior in one of our G4s. During debugging I attempted to run the Apple Hardware Test from one of the two CDs we have in house that works on this machine.

Both CDs boot the machine directly into Open Firmware after a few seconds of the "Loading" icon for AHT shows up on the gray background.

CDs in this computer run fine, I have returned the original Video card back into the machine, and attempted to boot AHT with the hard drive disconnected as well. I have also run "reset-nvram" and "reset-all" from regular open firmware with all drives disconneted and the results stay the same.

Lastly, I attempted to boot both copies of my AHT disc (we have a couple quicksilvers of this model) in a test optical drive to determine if the drive is at fault.

I am starting to think I may have a serious problem that is preventing AHT from loading correctly, or is it possible that I have a couple of wacked discs?

The computer will boot to other bootable CD media.
