Using Photoshop Elements as a plug-in

I tried specifying 8-bit and the other recommendations in the link you included. Nothing changes - Aperture creates a PSD file, Elements opens with a blank screen and I have to drag and drop the file into Elements. The edited file is not saved back into Aperture

Thanks for the feedback but I have still had no success. I have tried resetting the Aperture colour profile for export to PSD. When that did not work I reset the colour profile in Elements to Apple and that did not work, I tried TIFF. Nothing seems to work. When I select EDIT IN ELEMENTS a PSD file is created and that is the file I drag. Am I then only getting a preview image of that file? My only option is to export the PSD to a different directory and then open it in Elements and then reimport it back to Aperture. In the end I will probably not bother as it is too difficult to organise my photos this way. On the plus side, because this is not working I am becoming more and more comfortable with Aperture and find less need to go to Elements.

I have had this post up since June 2011 and nobody seems to have a solution. I use either Aperture or Elements but independent of each other

I have tried Adobe Support but they did not respond. I don't think there is ever going to be a solution to this problem

Thanks Chris. I am using 9 so it is slightly different. After reading your post I set up Elements in Preferences but it still did not work and then I changed the colour setting and now it works. Had to use Adobe RGB and now it works perfectly. I previously had it set as iMac colour. Best of all worlds!!
