Qatar & UAE Apple Service Center

We face many problems with our local Apple service center in Qatar (Al Mana Computer Services)

  1. They don't know how to respect customers
  2. No credible
  3. Deceitful

I bought iMac Desktop a year ago 1589 $ on 01 June2010, recently I face some problems with my iMac, they should replace the logic board any many things else... The problem is they ask for 2527$ to fix the iMac, can u imagine that in this cause it's better to buy a new one.

Warranty Issue: The warranties start from the date we bought the product that what we know.

I take my iMac to them on 02 June 2011 so they told me they can't fixed it under the warranty and I have to pay and when I try to discuss with them because it's only one day different and I didn't face any problem with my Mac before they say actually your warranty finished on 30 May 2011 because its come from UAE, they should told me that when I bought the iMac right?

You should to be withdrawn power of attorney whom they abuse the reputation of Apple Company.

If you purchased your iMac on June 1, 2010, the warranty would indeed have expired as of the end of the day May 30, 2011, no matter where in the world you purchased your iMac or where you took it for service (or what product you purchased, from Apple or anyone else, for that matter). The warranty is one year starting from date of purchase, as is clearly stated in Apple's warranty terms.

So while I can't know anything about how you were treated, as regards a failure that you did not report until June 2, 2011, the service center was absolutely correct in telling you that the warranty on your system had expired. I know that seems harsh, and in some cases Apple has been known to extend a warranty when a problem occured only one day after official expiration, but an independent service center has no authority to grant such an extension. You can try contacting Apple and asking if there's anything they can do for you, but they have no office in either Qatar nor the UAE, so you'd probably have to call their Brunei office as being the closest.
