Would I ever be able to recover data?

Would I ever be able to recover data after a 2STF/3/3: ATA-100 ata-6 - Master error? Would professional data recovery help or would you say recovering the data is a lost cause?

Just wondering?

"Stellar Phoenix Macintosh - Mac data recovery software, recovers data from damaged, deleted, or corrupted volumes and even from initialized disks."

They have a trial version, so I guess you can see if your data can be recovered...

FileSalvage is an extremely powerful Macintosh application for exploring and recovering deleted files from a drive or volume. FileSalvage is designed to restore files that have:

* been accidentally deleted.

* become unreadable due to media faults.

* been stored on a drive before it was re-initialized/formatted.

Here's cheap $ thing to try. Buy one of these hard drive adapters http://tinyurl.com/68z87pm Remove the HD from your Mac, attach the adapter & connect to another Mac. If you're lucky, you may be able to see the data files.

 Cheers, Tom 😉
