Verbose Mode?

I think that a process is making my MacBook Pro start up to momentarly lag just after the OSX boot screen spinwheel stops just before loggin in. I have seen other macs being able to go into log in almost immediately after the boot screen spinwheel stops. I was wondering if verbose mode would be a good way to pin point where the problem might be, and if so how can I enable it? will my mac then continue to boot in verbose mode after I enabled it? will my mac be severly affected by using it?

The system log and the kernel log will give you the same information as booting in verbose mode. More, in fact. Verbose mode is only useful when you can't complete the boot process.

This has repeated 2 instances:

Jun 18 18:47:29 Michael-J-Acevedos-MacBook-Pro warmd[16]: [fetcher_open_file:936] open("/var/db/dyld/dyld_shared_cache_x86_64") => -1 (errno: 2)

Is this normal?

No. Boot in safe mode, then immediately reboot as usual.

Launch the Terminal application and copy or drag -- don't type -- the text below in the window:

ls -l /var/db/dyld

Press return. Several lines should appear below what you entered. Please post them.

Used OnyX to refresh the dyld cache and the error it's not showing any longer.
