Multiple libraries

I have bought AP3 for quite some time, but I only use it purely for editing and leave the library management in iPhoto.

Now I am thinking of moving all the pictures from iPhoto to AP3, before doing that I would like to find out a question about multiple libraries.

I am shooting RAW and using the Photoshop and Aperture for editing, I am planning to leave all these RAW + Edited in a Master library but looking to create another library "Edited" for the edited photos.

What is the best way to do it ? How do I import the edited projects (without deleting the edited one in Master library) to this "Edited" library without duplicate the photos?
