Dropped iPad2, dented back cover

I just got my white iPad2 3G 64GB last week and my brother in law dropped it on the floor 😢 It landed on the bottom right hand corner denting the aliminum cover in right on the bottom edge. I can't see any other damage and the screen is fine. I think it only needs a back cove replacement. The thing is I live in the UAE and we don't have the best service out here. I called the reseller who sold it to me and they referred me to a thord party repair sohp ! I am travelling to the US in July and will be in LA for a week. How quickly would it take to replace the cover if I take it to the Apple Store there? Are such repairs usually done in the store or do they have to send it to a service center? Anyone from Apple? I am very upset as you can imagine and desperate to get it repaired.

Yes, you can get it repaired at any of the Apple Stores. - But it will cost you a hefty price, still worth it given that you have purchased the 64GB 3G model, however a week wouldn't be enough maybe 10 days that's when you will get your fixed iPad.
