Music Distortion after ripping CDs onto iTunes

This is really frustrating me now.

Just recenlty I purchased a brand new CD and ripped it onto me iTunes but i sounds distorted and generally bad. I don't know why this is happening as its never happened before and i've tried everything all my drivers are updated and I've re-ripped it over and over. On Windows media player though it also sounds distorted and i've tried it on another PC with iTunes and it works fine. I ripped another CD which also sounded terrible and i just deleted it. After a while though it seems as thoughit just "got better" and now it sounds fine, but when i went to rip the CD i orginally deleted, it sounds distorted again. I have no idea in what i did in order to make it better and am desperate to find a solution to this issue 😕

Could you post your diagnostics for us please? If possible, have one of the CDs with bad-sound-quality-imports in the drive while doing your tests.

In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:

User uploaded file

... and click "Next".

When you get through to the final screen:

User uploaded file

... click the "Copy to Clipboard" button and paste the diagnostics into a reply here.

Is this a home/custom-built system, christopher? (Usually the make and model of PC or motherboard appears on that line.)

If so, we need to check the manufacturer of the components for updates.

TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S223L, Rev SB03

There's a newer TSST-supplied firmware available for your drive. Visit Samsung support for your country and look for the SB04 firmware for the drive. If you update to that, does that help with the distortion on imports?

Its a Home built system, but i've never had this problem with disc distortion before a couple of weeks ago. I tried looking for that driver update but i couldn't find it on Samsungs website and there was handful of sites which had an update download but when I rane the program i kept getting this: User uploaded file

I red a tutorial on the webpage and I should be able to close that caution message and continue but I can't. I've downloaded it more than once from different webpages and still have the same result. 😕
