how to unlock ipod nano first generation

I have a 2GB nano 1st generation Ipod... serial #7L5***4JTJT It is locked and we don't have the security 4 digit code. I tried plugging it into the computer ...hoping it would unlock it. It did not. This Ipod was not used on this computer .How do I unlock it?
