I CAN'T GET ONLINE

I'm trying to get my daughter's MB Pro working again. It shows that it's connected to the internet, but when she tries to get to a website she gets nothing.

It gives her a message that says "You are not connected to the internet" with the website address below it. It's a standard Safari message. It offers the network diagnosis beneath it too, but that was zero help.

I've rebooted.

I've restarted all wifi.

I've tried to restore to an earlier date, but she never set up her time machine properly.

Both wifi show as connected. Can't access the internet through any program, Mail, Safari, or iTunes.

Thanks for your replies. I received a correct answer to her issue in a strange place, a fetish forum that has an Apple sub-forum that a friend suggested I check out, and that solution proved to work. I was directed to delete the system configuration file and reboot the computer. Safari and the internet worked great once it rebooted.

Thanks again.
