Macbook to Panasonic Viera: HDMI video and A/V audio

Hi, I am trying to connect my Macbook Pro (bought around early 2010s) to my Panasonic Viera TH-P42C10S through HDMI with the adaptor and

3.5mm RCA cable, since my Macbook Pro does not transmit sound through the Mini Display port.

But however there was no audio input for my HDMI, thus the only way I can connect my audio is to plug it into the A/V compartment. It end up the video on the HDMI menu, and audio on the A/V menu, I tried changing the TV sound setting but there seems to be no way I can project my HDMI ideo with A/V audio together.

Is there any other way I can do it? Please help me, thank you!!!!

Here is your answer, read on:

Connect your HDMI to HDMI1, connect the audio to AV2

"When the DVI to HDMI adapter cable is used, connect the audio cable to the audio input terminal (HDMI1: use AV2 IN AUDIO terminals).

Audio settings can be made on the “HDMI1 Input” menu screen. (p. 22)

Applicable audio signal sampling frequencies (2ch L.PCM): 48 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 32 kHz zHDMI2 terminal is for digital audio signal only."

This is from Page 43 of the manual that came with your Panasonic 🙂
