Apps are going out of focus when 2x has anyone else seen this ?

I think that the resolution is just made for the iphone and not the ipad. therefore it seems a little blurry

It's to be expected. They are designed for the smaller iPhone/iPod Touch sized screen, so 'naturally' just take up that sized portion of the iPad's screen. The 2x button effectively doubles each pixel in both directions, so will tend to appear pixelated.
