I have an Intel core2dup Samsung laptop, and also a 1TB External harddrvie.
Is it possible to install any of the MAC os x's onto this alongside the Windows Vista operating system that is already pre-installed?

No. OS X runs only on Mac hardware. And, it violates the software license to install OS X on anything but Mac hardware.

Refurbs can save you a bit.
Also, used Apples are actually still worth something unlike most of the other crapufacturing. Just make sure it is at least a core 2 duo and you get the original disks with it.
You might want to try the Linux copy of OS X called MacBuntu, I run that on my netbook.
I wouldn't install Linux on your only machine, you need another machine to get online and get help. Your going to lose Vista in the process.
