For some reason, all of the Sample Books I downloaded have gone away after the latest update to iBooks! Any idea why this happened? In previous updates this never occurred. I love downloading samples as they give me ideas of what to purchase next!

your books are saved in itunes as you took a backup while syncing check the book syncing option and itunes and you will have your books back also if you go to the ibook app and go to the store there is an option that says purchased you can see all you books that you have downloaded and purchased from them an re-download them
Thank you for your response Alialki. Actually I was not having any difficulty with my purchased books. It was some of the Sample books that I downloaded which are no longer available to me unless I re-download them. I have a feeling that I may have lost them in the recent iBooks update. No huge problem (as my purchased books are still there), but as I mentioned previously, it was nice to have the Sample Books to guide me in my future choices.
This happened to me too. I lost all my sample books when I restored my iPad from a back up. Does anyone have any idea how to get them back?
iTunes doesn't make a backup of your sample books. So if you restore then they are gone. iBooks doesn't remember which sampe books you downloaded either. www.apple.com/feedback/

I'm about to submit the same feedback to apple too. I just upgraded my iPad and over 50 sample books are gone. That was my future reading list, representing guaranteed sales for apple.
But guess what? Google is smart enough to realize that my samples are meaningful. When I opened up Google Play Books all of my books and samples appeared. Guess I'll move my future reading list and all my future book purchases to Google.
