Ralph, EZJim, Defcom -- please help with sudden problem. :S

I've been using iChat 2.1 on my iBook for some time to videochat with my sister (Windows XP, AIM5.9)in France and China. However, today I had a sudden inexplicable (to me) problem. My iSight no longer shows up -- all I have is a telephone icon instead of the camera. IN addition, my sister's camera icon also disappeared. All we could do, of course, is text chat.

Any ideas? Thanks so much!

Never mind. <G> I did a bit of troubleshooting and discovered that none of my firewire peripherals were showing up. So I called Apple (I have AppleCare) and found out how to reset my PMU by holding down control-option-shift-power while nothing else is connected to the computer. That resets things, and now my iSight is once again a happy camper. So am I. 😉

I've put in the solution, in case someone else needs it. Whew!
