how to run multiple devices

The time capsule stopped working so my son set it back to default. Now I can't figure out how to run both is xbox and my laptop from the Time Capsule at the same time. It says it can't run multiple devices. This seemed to happen when I tried to set up a secure network. I went back to my previous network and tried to reset it but ended up in circles. It kept on telling me to unplug time capsule and click continue when i replug it but then it takes me in an endless loop. I have no idea what to do. Help please
